Antique Cast Iron Fire Surround £200 40" high x 45" wide at the mantle. I had it blasted when I bought it approx. 24 years ago, then polished it to a brilliant original finish. Now it requires wire brushing and polishing. The mantle is separate and secured with 3 x screws. The left side of the arch was slightly chipped when I bought it, but this will be covered if a fire fret (front cover) is used. There is a diamond registration mark on the rear, but it is difficult to identify all of the symbols. One dealer estimates circa 1880 - 1885. Carrera Marble Hearth £100 54" x 15" x 2" Beautiful white Carrera marble with the odd fleck of pink, orange and grey. In perfect condition except for a very small chip on the front left corner. A proper hearth with marble supports bonded to the underside. ;
